5/28/2023 0 Comments Irip windows 8![]() ![]() Art Club will resume for a longer session next spring! Box Tops- Thank you to all that have sent in box tops this year! Keep collecting over the summer for the 2018/2019 school year. You can see a few examples hanging at school in the windows along the courtyard. In our final weeks we explored the art of textile artist Sheila Hicks and made weavings with pulled yarn. ![]() ![]() The total cost of the shades, shipping, and installation will be $12,235.60 Hilton Art Club- This week wrapped up another session of Art Club! Exploring textiles was so much fun! We learned about the fabric dyeing technique called Batik and made t-shirts. We are hoping installation will happen over the summer or early fall. PTO funds at work- with the lack of shade on the big playground and kids huddling together in the small amount of shade there is, the PTO agreed to fund three large shade structures for the playground. We will need to chairs to work along a team already planning this event. *Fall Family Art Night- This is a new event coming to Hilton. *Science Fair- two chairs needed to help coordinate and run the Science fair. Responsibilities include, picking up snacks for 3rd and 4th grade students during M-step and delivering to the classrooms first thing in the morning. Angela Watts will help with the transition of the new chairs taking it over. Any of these positions can be co-chaired by two or more people. Notes about how the events / clubs have been run in the past are available. If you'd like to get involved we'd love to have your help! Open positions for next year- We have some fun clubs and events planned for next year that need parent volunteers to lead them. We need lots of help to make this a special day for or students, please check the sign up genius link: Fourth Grade Farewell- Attention 4th Grade Parents! Please join us on June 8th, from 10-12pm, as we say goodbye to our Hilton Class of 2026! A bounce house and picnic lunch will be provided. Students should wear their Hound Dog shirts that they got at the beginning of the year for the Hound Dog Run, if your student is new and doesn't have one, please contact the PTO. Field Day- June 7th Plans for this years fun filled day are well under way! Field day will be held on the students last full day of school, Thursday, June 7th. ![]()
